Turkish Transfer Round-Up: Leão Race, Salah Talks, Can Uzun and Amrabat

Türkiye’s transfer market is moving towards a significantly busier period, with major developments involving Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray, Beşiktaş and Trabzonspor.

Rafael Leão remains at the centre of a battle involving Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray, while Beşiktaş’s pursuit of Mohamed Salah is not considered completely over.

At Fenerbahçe, several departures could reshape the squad, including Sofyan Amrabat, Dominik Livaković, Fred and Sidiki Chérif. Galatasaray, meanwhile, are working on Can Uzun, Bastian Meupiyou and several young attacking targets.

Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray Both in the Leão Race

Both Turkish clubs are actively involved in the Rafael Leão situation.

Fenerbahçe reportedly made a verbal proposal worth close to €40 million including bonuses, but Milan were not prepared to accept at that level.

Fenerbahçe prefer a permanent transfer structure.

Galatasaray are approaching the deal differently. Their first choice is a structure containing a mandatory purchase mechanism, allowing a significant part of the fee to be moved into the next financial period.

That would preserve more immediate funds for another major signing, particularly in the No.10 position.

Galatasaray are nevertheless prepared to discuss an outright transfer if Milan insist on a permanent sale and are expected to make a formal offer in the near future.

Leão is not believed to be completely opposed to Türkiye. A total salary package around €12m including bonuses, potentially slightly higher, was mentioned as the kind of level required.

If he does move to Türkiye, reaching an agreement with Milan appears more decisive than an agreement with the player himself.

Cengiz Ünder Not in the Plans

Cengiz Ünder is not currently part of İsmail Kartal’s squad plans at Fenerbahçe.

Dorgeles Nene could also be considered for a departure if a strong offer arrives.

Asensio Still Working Towards Full Fitness

Marco Asensio’s physical condition was also discussed after he started the Champions League qualifier against Górnik Zabrze and was substituted at half-time.

He is not considered fully ready for the high-intensity pressing game Kartal wants to implement.

There was, however, no concrete information indicating that Fenerbahçe are currently working on his departure.

Atlético Mineiro Waiting on Fred

Fred has reportedly had an understanding with Atlético Mineiro on personal terms for some time.

The Brazilian club, however, are reluctant to pay a significant transfer fee and are waiting to see whether Fenerbahçe’s foreign-player situation creates an opportunity for a cheaper deal.

Even an offer in the €1-2m range could potentially change the situation, with Fred’s future possibly becoming a board-level squad-planning decision rather than purely a technical one.

İrfan Can Eğribayat Close to Gençlerbirliği

Fenerbahçe and Gençlerbirliği are said to have reached an agreement over İrfan Can Eğribayat.

Some details involving the goalkeeper’s own requests remain unresolved, but if Gençlerbirliği meet those conditions, the transfer is expected to proceed.

Amrabat Agrees Terms With Real Betis

Sofyan Amrabat has reportedly agreed personal terms with Real Betis.

The remaining issue is between the clubs.

Betis’ offers so far have been below Fenerbahçe’s asking price, with the Spanish club believed to be waiting for the price to fall because they expect the midfielder to leave.

Amrabat is also understood to be open to returning to Betis, and staying at Fenerbahçe currently appears unlikely.

Zagreb and Torino Talks for Livaković

Claims that Dominik Livaković does not want to leave Fenerbahçe were dismissed in the broadcast.

His representatives are currently holding talks involving Zagreb and Torino, while reports of a completed Olympiacos move were not confirmed.

Offers Expected for Sidiki Chérif

Sidiki Chérif is another player who could leave Fenerbahçe.

Significant offers are expected, and a departure during this transfer window would not be considered a major surprise.

How the Leão deal is financed could directly affect the budget available for Uzun.

Galatasaray have made official contact regarding Alverca defender Bastian Meupiyou and asked about the conditions of a possible transfer.

The coaching and recruitment staff both reportedly rate the young French centre-back highly.

He has emerged as a leading candidate for the left-sided centre-back rotation, while reports claiming Alverca are asking €20m were described as incorrect.

Lucumí Prefers Juventus

Jhon Lucumí currently sees Juventus as his preferred destination.

He is not expected to seriously consider Türkiye unless his other options disappear.

A lucrative verbal salary proposal from Türkiye was reportedly rejected, while Bologna are also demanding a substantial transfer fee.

Both Galatasaray and Beşiktaş have been interested, but there is currently no positive movement towards Türkiye.

Musiala Links Denied, Agent Contact Continues

Galatasaray have denied that Jamal Musiala is currently on their transfer agenda.

However, they have reportedly been in contact for around one to two months with his agent, Marcus Schmit.

As the same agent also represents Can Uzun, those conversations do not necessarily indicate direct Musiala negotiations.

There is currently no information supporting an advanced deal.

Franculino Remains on the List

Franculino has been on Galatasaray’s forward shortlist for some time.

After returning from a serious injury, interest in him remains strong, while his club are reportedly seeking more than €30m.

No advanced deal has been reported.

Ponomarenko Highly Rated but No Deal Yet

Matviy Ponomarenko is another forward Galatasaray rate highly.

They are prepared to move quickly if an opportunity emerges, but there is currently no concrete negotiation or offer.

Saudi Interest in Gabriel Sara

Gabriel Sara is attracting interest from Saudi Arabia, with the possibility that offers could move beyond €20m.

Galatasaray could consider a suitable proposal both to generate income and to create space within the foreign-player quota.

Beşiktaş’s Mohamed Salah pursuit has not been completely closed.

There is also interest from MLS and Saudi Arabia.

The main unresolved issue in the Beşiktaş negotiations concerns the percentage/share structure discussed between the parties.

If that difference can be resolved, Beşiktaş are still considered capable of completing the transfer.

Flamengo Reject Two Beşiktaş Offers for Leo Pereira

Leo Pereira has been one of Beşiktaş’s main centre-back targets.

The player was receptive to the move, but Flamengo rejected two offers.

The Brazilian club are reconsidering the sale because of the difficulty and cost of replacing one of their key defenders.

Unless Flamengo reopen the talks, Beşiktaş could move away from the deal.

Stuttgart Want €20m for Jeff Chabot

Jeff Chabot is among the alternatives.

Stuttgart reportedly asked for €20m, while Beşiktaş indicated that their budget is closer to the €10-12m range.

Chabot would be open to the move if the clubs reach an agreement.

Igor Julio remains another option but is currently further down the list.

Taylan Bulut Wants Augsburg Move

Augsburg have made an offer of around €2.5m for Taylan Bulut.

The player wants the move, but Beşiktaş are seeking approximately €5-6m after the investment they made in him.

A deal could become possible if Augsburg increase their bid.

Mithat Pala First Option if Taylan Leaves

Beşiktaş have spoken to Mithat Pala’s camp as they prepare for the possibility of Taylan leaving.

The player was told he would be a leading option at right-back and responded positively to the project.

Beşiktaş could initially propose a player-plus-cash deal to Çaykur Rizespor.

Kartal Kayra Yılmaz and Amir Hadžiahmetović were mentioned as players Rizespor could potentially be interested in, although that element was presented as a possible scenario rather than a completed negotiation.

No Confirmed Salah Process at Trabzonspor

Mohamed Salah has also been linked with Trabzonspor, but neither the club side nor the player’s representatives confirmed an active transfer process.

The Trabzonspor side subsequently denied the reports, while Salah’s camp also maintained that no such negotiations were taking place.

Under the current circumstances, Beşiktaş remain the most concrete Turkish option discussed for Salah.
