Transfer market heats up: Fernandes, Garnacho, Barcola and more in focus

As the summer transfer window approaches, activity across European football is beginning to accelerate. Developments—particularly around Premier League clubs—suggest that key decisions for next season are already taking shape.

At the center of the conversation is Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes.

Clubs from Saudi Arabia are reportedly preparing offers exceeding $70 million for the Portuguese midfielder, while Galatasaray are also said to be monitoring the situation as part of an ambitious recruitment plan. Any movement here could have a direct impact on United’s midfield structure.

Fernandes is not the only uncertainty at Old Trafford. Borussia Dortmund winger Karim Adeyemi has emerged as a priority attacking target, while United are also competing with Aston Villa for Inter right back Denzel Dumfries.

Chelsea, meanwhile, may be heading in a different direction. The club are believed to be open to selling Alejandro Garnacho just a year after his arrival, having concluded that the Argentine has not delivered the expected impact.

Liverpool’s focus is clearly on their attacking line. Following the injury to Hugo Ekitike, manager Arne Slot is pushing for reinforcements. Randal Kolo Muani has emerged as a leading option, while ongoing uncertainty around Bradley Barcola’s contract at Paris Saint-Germain has placed him firmly on Liverpool’s radar.

Another name being tracked is FC Midtjylland forward Franculino Djú. The 21-year-old is attracting interest not only from Liverpool, but also from Everton, Manchester United and West Ham United.

Tottenham could also be active sellers this summer. Cristian Romero is reportedly available for around €65 million, with Atlético Madrid, Real Madrid and Manchester United all linked with the defender.

In Spain, midfield and defensive reshaping appear to be the main themes.

Barcelona are exploring a move to bring Alejandro Grimaldo back to the club, while Frenkie de Jong’s future remains uncertain amid reported interest from Paris Saint-Germain.

Real Madrid are reassessing parts of their squad as well. Eduardo Camavinga is not expected to leave, but concerns over Rodri’s injury history have reportedly cooled interest from the Spanish side. At the same time, Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister has emerged as a potential target.

Inter defender Alessandro Bastoni has also attracted attention, though reports suggest he would only consider a move if Barcelona make an approach.
