Real Madrid Are the Most Successful Club in Champions League History
No club has won Europe’s biggest trophy more often than Real Madrid.
The Spanish giants have lifted the European Cup or Champions League 15 times.
Their title-winning seasons came in:
1956, 1957, 1958, 1959, 1960, 1966, 1998, 2000, 2002, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2022 and 2024.
Real Madrid also lost finals in 1962, 1964 and 1981.
Their closest challenger is AC Milan with seven titles, while Liverpool and Bayern Munich have each won the competition six times.
Barcelona have lifted the trophy five times.

Arda Güler made history with Real Madrid in the 2023/24 season.
The Spanish club defeated Borussia Dortmund 2-0 in the final to win the Champions League.
Arda did not feature in the final itself and remained on the bench, but as part of the title-winning squad he became the first Turkish international to win the UEFA Champions League.
